Primary Job Duties:
  • Working with at-risk teens as a youth mentor
  • Helping to create a positive experience for youth that are motivated to regain control of their lives.
  • A self-motivated leader with a strong ability to connect with youth. Capable of developing personal relationships of mutual influence and respect.
  • Leads and facilitates individual and teambuilding activities that can help individuals utilize their strengths to progress forward.
  • Provides mentoring and emotional direction to youth on an individual basis.
  • Maintain contact with internal staff, keeping them informed of ongoing progress, strategies and development.
  • Oversees all aspects of day to day development with youth and family.
  • Ability to assess a behavioral issue and take appropriate steps to help youth resolve issues in a productive way.
  • Helps youth develop and maintain coping skills as a way to resolve matters in a positive way.
  • Serves as an example and role model.
  • Ability to accept and relate to youth who may not share the same lifestyle, and respect the youth’s right to independence.
Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass a backround screening and a drug test.
Education or Skills:
  • Must receive a first- aid and CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test.
The schedule for this GRAVEYARD position is Thursday / Friday / Saturday  and every other Wednesday 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
